Anna Pirozzi stars as Turandot at the Puccini Festival, then heads to La Scala and an international tour. She calls for greater recognition of Italian voices in Italy.
“Unfortunately, I’m always on the bill abroad because, as the saying goes, no one is a prophet in their own land. So I’d like to make an appeal: long live Italy and long live Italian theaters — with the hope that Italian voices will finally receive the appreciation they deserve at home.”
