Anna Pirozzi sings the title role of Verdi’s masterpiece Aida at the Arena di Verona. The opera, which, since its 1913 debut on the Arena stage, has been performed over 670 times, becoming a symbol of the Arena di Verona. Seen and Heard International heralded Ms. Pirozzi’s performance as Aida at the Teatro Real de Madrid earlier this season:

“The second Aida was Anna Pirozzi, whose performance was brilliant … She is the best Italian spinto-soprano today, and certainly one of the most interesting worldwide in this repertoire. Her voice is attractive and powerful.”
