Following her performances as Abigaille from Verdi’s Nabucco, Anna Pirozzi returns to the Bayerische Staatsoper to star in the title role of Puccini’s Turandot, with production by Carlus Padrissa, a co-founder of the Catalan theatrical group, La Fura dels Baus. On April 20, 24, 27, & May 2, Ms. Pirozzi shares the stage with Goran Jurič as Timur, Yonghoon Lee as Calaf, and Golda Schultz as Liù. Pinchas Steinberg conducts.
